The A-B-C-D-E-F-G Model is a systemised 7-stage end-to-end methodology that promotes clarity and coordination for desired change, improvement, and growth in any given area.

A successful change initiative is preceded by rigorous assessment and diagnosis, and guided throughout with a structured approach to ensure it delivers the desired benefits. Change is a necessary process both in business and in virtually every sphere of life. Yet, whilst many know that it must be carefully managed from inception, many change initiatives prove abortive - often because a conceived change is misjudged from the outset, or it is poorly executed.

A sound change strategy leverages a combination of principles from proven change models and methodologies, such as McKinsey’s 7-S model, Six Sigma’s DMAIC, ADKAR, Kotter’s Change Management theory, Lewin’s ‘unfreeze-change-refreeze’ and others. The best tools are always situational dependent, and whilst we adopt tried and trusted methodologies, we ensure that we adapt to each client context.

How the A-B-C-D-E-F-G Model works

We conduct a comprehensive assessment to establish the nature & scope of your business situation.

This is the first stage and involves: an exploratory consultation, followed by an investigative and analytical process to define the details of your business challenge or opportunity. This involves a range of steps to ascertain your current position and trajectory - ‘AS-IS”. Dependent on the nature of the identified business situation, this stage can take a couple of days up until a few weeks, or more. It is essential that this phase is exhaustive and thorough, to set a firm foundation which ensures that subsequent stages are performed with confidence and competence. The success of the entire project is dependent on how well this stage is conducted.


We use expert tools and techniques to develop tailored proposals and a blueprint for your business.

This stage is conducted with the aid of various expert tools and techniques to identify the most propitious and productive options to address the situation. During this stage, we leverage and creatively build upon our findings in the assessment stage to develop advice and recommendations about the next steps you should take for your
business. The goal of this stage is to produce proposals and a tailored blueprint containing detailed information forming our conclusions from the assessment and analysis completed,


We exhaustively consider and review all your options to determine the most advantageous solution.

Having provided you with our proposals and blueprint, we invite you to discuss and explore our recommendations collaboratively to determine the way forward. This is a highly critical stage and requires your commitment and cooperation to approve (or disprove) our proposals. This stage sets the opportunity to address any concerns as well as to establish the scope and terms of any proposed implementation. It is important to note that Stages A - C are iterative. Whilst we do not commence an engagement without a well-defined and structured strategy, we maintain a proactive and adaptive view, seeking out new relevant information which may influence our proposals. This approach may mean that upon completing stage C, we may revert to B or A to ensure that we are confident that the agreed implementations are aligned to the initial goals of the engagement.


We deliver your bespoke programme and implement the desired changes to a high standard.

Once you are satisfied with our final blueprint, and we are jointly confident that the proposed implementation will yield the intended results, we proceed to execute the requested projects in alignment with the terms and conditions we agree on. This begins with a detailed planning process for the project, to ensure that we are aligned to meet prescribed targets in terms of scope, objectives, budget, schedule, and benefits. This stage is conducted using a dedicated project management framework to ensure that the project is successfully implemented.


We evaluate the results achieved and calculate expected benefits vs realised benefits.

We conduct ongoing evaluation of all our projects throughout each key phase, and not only at the completion of the project. We normally expect our projects to abide within the designated project targets, however, should there be any significant deviations, we ensure to communicate this you in a timely manner in order to agree the best way forward. At the completion of the project, we will review and perform an appraisal of the final results and review the project performance against the targets.


We follow-up and monitor your progression to identify and address any required adjustments.

After the project has been completed, we will maintain close contact with your business and be on hand to provide support for an interim period. We ensure that clients are satisfied that the changes implemented are fully integrated into business-as-usual including any necessary training and development required by your personnel to fully integrate changes to processes and procedures.
